As part of the modernization and increase in efficiency of the wastewater treatment plant in Rakovník, IN-EKO TEAM Microscreen Drum filters were newly installed at this large WWTP, using the existing tanks. The technology focuses primarily on efficient capture and removal of total suspended solids (TSS).

Solution / Benefit

After more than seventeen years of operation, the filtration technology at Rakovník WWTP underwent a significant upgrade. The original 10_BMF_20_B2 filters, commissioned in 2007, were replaced with new, larger  5FBB Microscreen Drum filters with a common control panel. Together with the operator, we planned the entire project so the filters could be installed in the original tanks with only minimal modifications. The modernization has increased the capacity of the WWTP tertiary stage, improved operating comfort, reduced maintenance requirements, and prepared the plant for long-term reliable operation in line with current wastewater treatment requirements.
