Beginning of April was dedicated to business mission to Peru
Business missions

At the beginning of April, the CSO of IN-EKO TEAM, Mr. Aleš Vaverka, took part in a business mission to Peru, which was divided into two parts. The first week was organized by our partner company EMI, Inc., and the second week by the CzechTrade office in Peru.

During the mission, numerous meetings took place with new and existing partners, as well as representatives of associations and ministries. Our colleague visited sites where our Disc Filters are installed and discussed options for their modernization and optimization. There was also strong interest in membrane solutions from our sister company, New Water Group, particularly in containerized systems for drinking water treatment.

Thanks to the official part of the mission, organized by CzechTrade, we joined other Czech companies – Kubíček VHS, MIVALT, ABO Valve, and AQUA CONCERN – to present comprehensive solutions for wastewater treatment.

We would like to thank all organizers, partners, and friends for the inspiring meetings, and we look forward to further cooperation in the field of water resource protection in Peru.

IN-EKO TEAM at the Operation of Water Supply and Sewerage Systems Conference in Ceske Budejovice, CR

On November 13-14, the Operation of Water Supply and Sewerage Systems conference took place in České Budějovice.

The event saw a record number of participants—over 700.
Due to the large attendance, the conference was held at the exhibition grounds, with lectures taking place in one hall and exhibitors presenting in another.

Most attendees were directors and deputy directors of water companies in the Czech Republic.
Discussions primarily focused on the Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive, which has been approved, giving the Czech Republic 30 months to implement it into national legislation.

The event also featured representation from the Ministry of the Environment, including the Minister, Mgr. Petr Hladík, alongside committee chairpersons. In the afternoon, a roundtable discussion took place with the participation of the Minister of Agriculture, Mgr. Marek Výborný, and the Minister of Industry and Trade, Ing. Lukáš Vlček.

Given the significant impact the new directive will have on the operations of water companies, the strong representation from various ministries was highly valuable.

We extend our sincere thanks to the organizer, the Water Supply and Sewerage Association of the Czech Republic (SOVAK), for a well-prepared and excellent conference!

IN-EKO TEAM and Blatenská ryba: The Microscreen Drum Filter in Aquaculture!

Let’s dive into the details!

Blatenská ryba is both a brand and a company specializing in sustainable fish farming and production in the South Bohemian region of Blatná. Traditionally focused on carp farming in ponds, they now also raise zander and trout in a modern Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS). Beyond fish farming, they are involved in fish processing as well. The quality of Blatenská fish is renowned far beyond the borders of the Czech Republic.

And what is the most crucial aspect of fish farming? …Of course, high-quality clean water.

This is where the perfect synergy between Blatenská ryba – quality fish, and IN-EKO TEAM – quality water, comes into play.

Previously, the customer used a drum filter with a stainless-steel mesh from another manufacturer for their RAS. However, due to insufficient filtration, vibrations, frequent breakdowns, and high rinse water consumption, they were dissatisfied. For sensitive species like zander, water quality is especially critical, particularly in terms of NH4, NO2 levels, and adequate oxygen supply.

We addressed these challenges with our Microscreen Drum Filter featuring a PES filtration mesh with a pore size of 60 µm. By separating solid particles (feed, excrement, sludge), the filter significantly reduces ammonia (NH4/NH3) and nitrites (NO2) in the water, lowers BOD, and substantially improves rearing conditions. A properly selected filter also reduces rinse water and energy consumption while minimizing equipment malfunctions.

We’ve already received feedback from the customer: “Blatenská ryba has never had such clean water as with the IN-EKO TEAM Microscreen Drum Filter!”

Pile Cloth filter for a Wastewater Treatment Plant overseas

We manufactured a Pile Cloth filter 18FC2_O for a WWTP overseas.

The filter is designed in a stainless steel tank, which is to be installed on the ground. This allows for the possibility of a gravity sludge outlet, eliminating the need for a sludge pump.

This device is in a custom design and is equipped with two dry pumps for disc extraction and an emergency overflow channel.

DAF unit to South Korea
From our customers

Introducing our smallest DAF unit for removing suspended solids, fats, and oils, with a maximum flow rate of 1 l/s!

The optimal hydraulic design ensures even bubble distribution. Plus, this unit boasts high sludge density removal and low OPEX and CAPEX.

Flotation units are indispensable where filtration and sedimentation methods fall short or become too costly (e.g., causing significant delays). They are most commonly used for treating industrial wastewater, particularly in the food industry (dairies, slaughterhouses, meat processing plants), chemical industry, textile industry, and more. They are also effective in thickening excess sludge in municipal wastewater treatment plants.

This specific unit is on its way to South Korea, where it will efficiently treat industrial wastewater for our customer!

What happened in the first weekend of 2024?
Start-up and commissioning together with our local partner DEPRIA of drum filters (3 filters per each treatment line) in the largest and most important plant in Bulgaria.
Sofia wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) is designed to treat the city mixed wastewater (domestic, industrial and storm water) to an extent which allows for it to be discharged into the Iskar River, the receiving water body.
Sofia WWTP has a design capacity of 1.3 million p.e. and treats more than 400 000 m3 of domestic and industrial wastewater daily to the strictest EU requirements.

Unique and fascinating flotation unit’s location!

An underground wastewater treatment plant in the mountain resort of Pec pod Sněžkou, situated within a rock massif. Due to space constraints and authorization from the Ministry of the Environment, the tank is installed in a pit, complete with all equipment. Above the tank, there is a service platform with a distribution board. Before installation, it was necessary to transport the flotation unit to the installation site through a forty-meter tunnel.

IN-EKO TEAM ranks among the TOP 10 best companies in the South Moravian region!

We applied for the SMEs4Future competition organized by the Regional Chamber of Commerce Brno, which was intended for small and medium-sized enterprises from the South Moravian region.

The evaluating factors included economic condition, environmental impact, the level of digitization, and cyber and information security of the company.

More than 200 companies participated in the competition. IN-EKO TEAM secured the 9th position in this competition.

Partnership in the Czech Businesswomen Awards Project

The Exhibition VOD-KA 2023 is successfully over!

The VOD-KA trade fair took place from the 23rd to the 25th of 2023 at the Exhibition Grounds in Letňany, Prague.

The biggest interest was in the 7 m high exhibit of the Vertical Bar Screen – “PCK”. You do not usually see this device in its full length in reality! About 70% of its length is hidden underground. We would not be able to get a higher device into the hall, but we can also produce 10 meters high one with gaps from 1 mm for you.
We are glad that we can help you solve one of the biggest issues – napkins and non-woven fabrics. We are also pleased to receive your interest and feedback regarding Drum Filters, which can provide the necessary effluent parameters not only in WWTPs but also in industry.

We are honored to share this prestigious international recognition from Generali Group with our Country, with all our colleagues and their families, friends and partners as it is an important step for us in the long journey of IN-EKO TEAM’s Corporate Value started in 1995.

Generali, on its 191st anniversary as a Group, is at the second edition of the “SME EnterPRIZE”.

Initiative to promote the culture of sustainability among European small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) aims to encourage them to develop new business models and to give visibility, also through a digital platform, to those such as IN-EKO TEAM that have already done so.

Generali was born in 1831 to help people build a safer future by taking care of their lives and dreams. Since then, Generali’s goal has been long-term growth together with the creation of value for all, in line with the ambition to be a Partner for Life. SME EnterPRIZE is a fundamental step, since Sustainability is an integral part of Generali’s core business and DNA, as well as our DNA.

Through SME EnterPRIZE, Generali intends to support SMEs in the sustainable transition, stimulate public debate on the importance of sustainability for SMEs, promoting research on the subject, and present significant examples of responsible business such as that of IN-EKO TEAM, inspiring small and medium-sized companies’ entrepreneurs to develop sustainable behaviors in three categories:

This award is recognized to selected companies, such as IN-EKO TEAM, which have implemented particularly important sustainability initiatives in their business activities in the three areas of welfare, environment and sense of community, coming from the European countries that have joined the project: Repubblica Czech, Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Austria, Hungary and others more.

Since it’s foundation IN-EKO TEAM always has had priorities in environment and natural resources protection. During the development of our products for water filtration we keep in mind how to be one step ahead. And we use the same approach across the production and operation of the whole company.

We have been running our own photovoltaic power plant for 10 years now. It is built on a plot of a former landfill. Nowadays about 50 % of all electric energy consumption in our company is supplied by our photovoltaics.

In the next years we are planning to invest to new technologies and raise share of renewable energy to 70 %.

We also think about effectiveness and sustainability of our production processes. For cutting stainless steel sheets we use CNC water jet cutting machine. This technology is eco friendly but uses large amounts of water. We only use non-potable water – filtrate and circulate it and eventually use it for company’s plots watering.

We will not ease up our efforts in coming up with innovative and environment-friendly solutions. We do not want and cannot close our eyes to the challenges of present world which will definitely become more important in the future.

The company IN-EKO TEAM s.r.o. is fully operational and there were no cancellations of orders. The company has not encountered production or supply chain problems . IN-EKO TEAM confirms that the current situation does not raise any critical issues.

The company confirms that it has already adopted the Emergency Health Protocol as a precautionary measure, which also includes precise precautions within its offices and manufacturing facilities, and that it implements all precautionary measures prescribed by health authorities in full compliance with government guidelines to protect employees and visitors.

IN-EKO TEAM will continue to monitor the situation and follow the recommendations and guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO) by introducing all necessary preventive or preventive measures.
