Circular Bar screen “BUG”

Reliable solution for fine wastewater pre-treatment Pre-treatment

The Circular Bar screen “BUG” is an economical, low-maintenance pre-treatment solution for municipal and industrial wastewater. It removes solid impurities larger than 3 mm or 6 mm, up to a maximum size of 50 mm, in smaller applications.

Slot width

standard 3 or 6 mm, or fully customized

Flow rate

10, 20 or 30 l/s

Design

stainless steel AISI 304 / 316 or higher, plastic tank option available

Control

level probe + PLC, SCADA connection, timer

Circular Bar screens for municipal and industrial applications

  • Municipal wastewater treatment plants – within pre-treatment for removal of solid impurities larger than 3 mm. Very suitable for capturing fibers and woven and non-woven textiles.
  • Industrial operations – for capturing floating impurities (screenings)

Aplikace

Suitable use

Circular Bar screens “BUG” are designed for municipal and industrial operations where high throughput, primarily pumped inflow, small footprint, and minimal maintenance requirements are needed.

Benefits of IN-EKO TEAM solutions

  • screens do not clog with grease or other substances (e.g. fibrous material)
  • high pre-treatment efficiency
  • equipped with integrated emergency overflow
  • reliable and economical operation
  • long service life of sweeping brushes – no sharp edges
  • electricity savings and reduced wear of parts thanks to timer or level-probe control
  • equipment can be put into operation immediately after installation
  • small footprint
  • remote monitoring – Industry 4.0

Automatic control

Depending on the amount of incoming untreated water and suspended solids.

Variability

Circular Bar screens “BUG” are manufactured in sizes for 10, 20, and 30 l/s.

Optional modifications

  • integrated press – screenings dewatering
  • insulation and heating
  • plastic tank design for pressure sewer applications

Smarter operation through innovation

In cooperation with partners, we develop solutions that reduce environmental impact – from energy-efficient components to digitalized operation and remote equipment monitoring.

Sustainability as a foundation

From design to operation, our technologies are created to save resources, energy, and space. This is not a trend – sustainability is a natural part of every piece of equipment we develop.

Our goal is to ensure clean water for future generations.

How do Circular Bar screens work?

This is a separation unit used to capture floating impurities. Water containing solid particles flows through the inlet pipe into the inner space of the unit, where it passes through the bar screen. Here the screenings are effectively separated. The screen gradually becomes clogged with screenings, which causes the level to rise. Once the start-up level is reached, the probe switches and the device starts automatically. The captured screenings are lifted into the discharge chute, from where they fall, for example, into a prepared bin or container. Water free of floating impurities larger than the opening size flows under the bar screen to the outlet and to a possible next treatment stage. After the screenings are lifted out, the screen throughput is restored, the water level inside the unit drops, and the sweeping stops. The screen gradually becomes clogged again with floating impurities and the whole cycle repeats. The inflow of raw water is not interrupted at any point during the process.

Clean water is no coincidence.
It is technology.
