Straight Screw screen
Reliable solution for fine wastewater pre-treatment Pre-treatment
Straight Screw Screens are designed for wastewater pre-treatment in both small and medium-sized municipal WWTPs and for industrial wastewater pre-treatment. The equipment is also used on ocean-going ships. It is a suitable choice of mechanical pre-treatment for applications using MBR.

Straight Screw screen as the ideal solution for pre-treatment of municipal and industrial wastewater
This is a separation unit used to capture and dewater screenings contained in wastewater. The screen is designed to reliably fulfill its function while being undemanding in terms of operation, maintenance, and space.
Straight Screw screen are suitable wherever truly fine pre-treatment using a perforated screen is required.
Suitable use
- municipal WWTPs
- industrial WWTPs
- recirculation systems
- cruise ships
Benefits of IN-EKO TEAM solutions
- electricity savings and reduced wear of parts (thanks to timer or level-probe control)
- high efficiency in capturing fibrous material
- small footprint
- integrated emergency overflow
- high installation variability
- simple design
- full operation automation
- easy maintenance (thanks to the possibility of tilting the screen into a horizontal position)
- remote monitoring – Industry 4.0
Automatic control
depending on the amount of incoming polluted water and suspended solids
Optional modifications
- version in steel or plastic tank for pipe connection
- cover for reducing odor spread from captured screenings
- insulation and heating
- integrated press for screenings dewatering and compaction
Smarter operation through innovation
In cooperation with partners, we develop solutions that reduce environmental impact – from energy-efficient components to digitalized operation and remote equipment monitoring.
Sustainability as a foundation
From design to operation, our technologies are created to save resources, energy, and space. This is not a trend – sustainability is a natural part of every piece of equipment we develop.
Our goal is to ensure clean water for future generations.

O násHow does the Straight Screw screen work?
Water containing solid particles flows into the inner space of the screen, where it passes through the stainless steel filter screen, which separates screenings larger than the openings in the screen. The screen gradually becomes clogged with screenings, causing the level to rise. Once the set level is reached, the probe switches and the device starts automatically. The captured screenings are lifted by the rotating motion of the screw into the discharge chute, from where they fall, for example, into a prepared bin or container. In the area of the filter screen, the lifting screw is fitted with a wiping brush for efficient cleaning of the screen. Water free of floating impurities larger than the opening size flows to a possible next treatment stage.
Clean water is no coincidence.
It is technology.
