Robust Drum filter
Highly efficient filtration suitable for applications with high solids loading Microfiltration and filtration
The Robust Drum filter with stainless steel cloth is ideal for industrial applications requiring mechanical, thermal, or chemical resistance and can reliably handle high solids loading. It is also suitable for municipal WWTPs with higher TSS loading or where stainless steel filter cloth is required.

Our solution for municipal and industrial applications
The Robust Drum filter is a highly durable unit designed for demanding operations where mechanical stability, long service life, and reliable performance under high load are key.
Thanks to its design, robust components, and special stainless steel filter cloth, it is the ideal choice especially for industrial applications where standard filters fail or have a short service life.
- Municipal wastewater treatment plants – the filter is suitable as a
- tertiary treatment stage – TSS removal, reduction of COD and BOD in the effluent
- optimization of existing WWTP operation – capacity increase without major civil works
- Industrial operations – the filter is especially suitable for
- food and beverage industry
- textile and paper industry,
- power generation and heating industry,
- aquaculture
- influent water intake

How does the Robust Drum filter work?
Water containing solid particles flows through the inlet pipe or channel into the inner space of the filter drum. Impurities are captured on the inner side of the cloth and the treated water flows out through the filter cloth. At this stage of the filtration cycle, the unit is in a resting position – the drum does not rotate.
As incoming impurities gradually clog the filter cloth, the resistance to flow increases and the water level inside the drum rises. When the set level difference between the inner and outer parts of the filter drum is reached, the level probe located on the front face of the filter automatically switches on the drum drive and simultaneously the washing pump(s), which pump filtered water to the nozzles of the washing system. The directed water jet from the nozzles removes impurities captured on the inner side of the cloth into a waste trough located inside the drum. Sludge flows into the sludge sump, from where it is pumped out by a sludge pump, which is also automatically controlled by level probes mounted on the sump wall. If gravity sludge drainage is possible, the sludge pump is omitted.
After the washing process is completed, hydrostatic resistance decreases. By rotating the drum, the washed cloth moves to the lower part of the filter, the level difference decreases, and the probe automatically switches off both the drum drive and the pump. Cleaned water flows over the overflow edge to the next treatment stage.
Filtration goes on continually without interruption.
Clean water is no coincidence.
It is technology.
