Multifunctional unit – MZG
A modern solution for wastewater pretreatment Pre-treatment
Multifunctional unit for flow rates of 35 – 260 l/s
The Multifunctional unit is a modern solution for wastewater pretreatment, primarily designed to remove screenings, sand and fats from incoming wastewater. This ensures protection for downstream technologies. It is a compact solution that reduces implementation costs, speeds up installation and commissioning, and improves operational hygiene standards.

35 - 260 l/s, depending on the unit size
stainless steel AISI 304 / 316 or higher
Belt screen or Straight Screw screen
standard 3 or 6 mm, or fully customized
level probe + PLC, SCADA connection, timer
Multifunctional unit for municipal and industrial applications
- wastewater pre-treatment at WWTPs
- wastewater pre-treatment from industry
Combined pretreatment consists of grit and heavy solids removal, screening, screenings compaction, and optionally grease capture and removal.
Compared with competing units, the IN-EKO TEAM Multifunctional unit is more compact and can therefore also be used in projects with limited space. This reduces implementation costs.
MZG_CSP
A unit using a Straight Screw screen with a perforated screen basket and integrated compactor, grit and heavy solids removal, with optional aeration and grease capture.
MZG_CP
A unit using a Belt screen with a downstream screw compactor, grit and heavy solids removal, with optional aeration and grease capture.
Benefits of the IN-EKO TEAM solution
- small installation footprint
- integrated emergency screen bypass
- integrated sand washing
- high efficiency
- modification options for specific projects
- high operational hygiene standard
- integrates various functions of a conventional mechanical treatment stage (5-in-1)
- option for pumped or gravity inflow
- aeration with grease capture
- remote monitoring – Industry 4.0
Basic functions
- sediment capture (sand, grit)
- capture of impurities on the screens
- transport of captured material to a container
- integrated bypass
Variability
At the inlet of the Multifunctional unit, a Straight Screw screen can be used for flow rates up to 90 l/s. For higher flow rates, a Belt screen is used as standard.
Optional modifications
- screenings washing
- screenings pressing
- sand washing
- grease capture and transport
- insulation and heating

O násHow does the MZG Multifunctional unit work?
The Multifunctional unit (MZG) is a complete mechanical pretreatment solution for your application. Wastewater first flows to the fine screen, which removes screenings. It then flows into the longitudinal grit chamber area, where grit settles out. The grit is conveyed by a horizontal screw, then washed and subsequently discharged by an inclined screw conveyor. Screenings captured on the screen are dewatered and compacted in the screw / integrated compactor. The unit can optionally be equipped with aeration, which primarily serves to remove fats and at the same time improves the sedimentation of grit and heavy solids. The pretreated water then flows from the grit chamber area in the MZG to the downstream treatment technologies.
Clean water is no coincidence.
It is technology.
