“CLEVER” Disc filter
Highly efficient filtration with minimal operating costs Microfiltration and filtration
The “CLEVER” Disc filter is an efficient unit designed for filtration of large flow rates.
Thanks to its robust design and large filtration area, it is ideal for operations that require stable effluent water quality even under high hydraulic and solids loading.
The filter removes TSS, reduces phosphorus down to 0.1 mg/l, reduces BOD and COD, and also removes parasite eggs and algae.

"CLEVER" Disc filter for municipal, industrial, and aquaculture applications
The “CLEVER” Disc filter is used in municipal wastewater treatment plants, industrial applications, and aquaculture, where it represents a reliable, compact, and very energy-efficient polishing solution.
It is suitable wherever large filtration capacity is required or where the nature of TSS requires mechanical extraction.
- Municipal wastewater treatment plants – the filter is suitable as a
- tertiary treatment stage – TSS removal, reduction of COD and BOD in the effluent, phosphorus reduction down to 0.1 mg/l. It is suitable for meeting strict discharge limits into receiving waters,
- quaternary treatment – use as pre-treatment for various PFAS removal technologies. The filter can be used in combination with powdered activated carbon dosing as a standalone quaternary stage.
- replacement of sand filtration – same or higher performance with dramatically lower energy and space requirements,
- optimization of existing WWTP operation – capacity increase without major civil works
- Industrial operations – the filter is especially suitable for
- food and beverage industry,
- textile and paper industry,
- power generation and heating industry,
- irrigation systems,
- drinking water treatment plants
- Aquaculture operations
- recirculating systems (RAS) – the Disc Filter removes TSS, which directly affects fish health, also reducing the size of biofilters and increasing their efficiency
- flow-through systems (FTS) – removes parasites and algae, and stably and efficiently filters feces, feed residues, and fine organic particles even at high flow rates and in a small footprint
- protection of downstream technologies (UV, biofilters, oxygenation) – cleaner water ensures significantly higher efficiency and longer service life of downstream technologies

How does the "CLEVER" Disc filter work?
The filter operates on the IN-OUT filtration principle. Untreated water flows by gravity into the central shaft and from there into the individual filter segments forming the discs. During the filtration cycle, the discs are in a resting position – they do not rotate.
Suspended solids are captured on the inner sides of the segments covered with filter cloth. As particles are gradually captured, the water flow through the cloth decreases and the water level inside the filter gradually rises. When the level probe is activated, the filter discs start rotating and at the same time their washing process begins. The pressurized wash cleans the filter cloth and carries the particles into the sludge trough. The water level then drops, and the flow returns to its maximum at the minimum water level. Treated water flows over the overflow edge to the next treatment stage.
Filtration goes on continually without interruption.

Innovative filtration segment
The filtration segment consists of a lightweight rigid frame made of recyclable ABS plastic with an integrated seal and is covered with cloth on both sides.
The frame with cloth and seal forms a single part, allowing quick and easy replacement.
The design is intended to provide balanced hydraulic properties inside the segment. The internal reinforcements primarily help improve the extraction of suspended particles and at the same time provide longer service life for the filter cloth.
The selected material combined with the design also brings a lower environmental impact thanks to a reduced carbon footprint.
Clean water is no coincidence.
It is technology.
