Screw press
Efficient washing, dewatering and pressing of screenings from wastewater Pre-treatment
The Screw press usually follows a screen. It is used to press screenings – dewatering them and reducing their volume.

Screw press for municipal and industrial applications
- Municipal wastewater treatment plants – dewatering of screenings captured by coarse screens, rotary screens or band screens, significant reduction of waste volume before disposal or further processing, improved hygiene and handling of screenings
- Industrial operations – especially the food industry, paper mills, wood processing, aquaculture and recycling lines (the press is suitable wherever captured solid impurities need to be quickly and efficiently dewatered from water)
Benefits of the IN-EKO TEAM solution
- significant reduction in screenings volume – lower disposal costs
- very robust design – long service life and high resistance to abrasion
- compact, space-saving design
- energy-efficient operation
- automatic operation
- simple integration into existing lines
- remote monitoring – Industry 4.0
Optional modifications
- the press can be designed for specific operating conditions (different number of hoppers, optional discharge height)
- insulation option
Smarter operation through innovation
In cooperation with our partners, we develop solutions that reduce environmental impact – from energy-efficient components to process digitalisation and remote equipment monitoring.
Sustainability as a foundation
From design to operation, our technologies are built to save resources, energy and space. This is not a passing trend – sustainability is a natural part of every piece of equipment we develop. Our goal is to ensure cleaner water and long-term balance in nature.

O násHow does the Screw press work?
The Screw press follows a screen and is designed for pressing soft materials. The screenings fall into the press hopper, where they are washed, and then move into the dewatering zone, where they are partially dewatered. The dewatering zone is followed by a discharge section, which is usually adapted to the specific application. It is in the discharge section that the screenings are compacted and their volume is reduced. The water pressed out of the screenings is discharged by gravity into the next stage of the wastewater treatment process.
Clean water is no coincidence.
It is technology.
